This service is a top to bottom evaluation of manuscript regarding content, condition, readability, and continuity. Suggestions for rewriting or next steps are included. I will give thorough editorial feedback in writing and in a one-hour phone or face-to-face consult.

Developmental Editing

Sometimes called content editing, developmental editing involves changes to the manuscript and guidance for rewriting to improve flow, readability, continuity, and completeness—making sure everything works together from beginning to end. I also include a one-hour consult to talk about the edits, answer any questions and discuss what comes next.

LINE and copy editing

Line editing is the next level—after the developmental edit—in refining the flow of a manuscript. Copy editing is the final polish, correcting spelling, grammar, and typos.
